Does CBD oil help you with your depression and/or anxiety?

Posted by lalyfa @lalyfa, Feb 24, 2018

I am curious to know if anyone has had success with CBD or Hemp oil helping with depression/anxiety? I’ve been reading a lot about it and am curious.
I've been reading about this and am very interested but would like thoughts/opinions from anyone who has actually tried it or knows someone who has. TIA

Thank you,
Laura

wife takes the CBD capsules and it takes a little longer to work but relaxes her. No anxiety or anything else with that. I have taken the oil under the tongue with no anxiety or issues also. It seems to effect people differently. Be careful on the type(brand) of CBD you use. Some brands are better than others. We get ours from a pharmacy.

wife is taking the CBD oil without THC.

For anxiety a low dose seems to work better. Maybe 25 mgs is too high for your system. You could try 10 mgs twice a day or even 5 mgs twice a day. Try that dose for a couple days in a row. Hope it helps

sometimes CBD can be activating if the dosage is not correct and you take it prior to sleep. I would check with a competent knowledgeable dispensary who can give you advice on what dose and when to help with anxiety and sleep.

Hello. I tried CBD oil for the first time tonight, containing no more than 0.3% THC. I took 25mg dose via tincture under my tongue about one hour before bed time. Four hours later and I am wide awake with anxiety and insomnia. The reason I took the CBD oil was to help me with my existing anxiety and insomnia problem. However, it seems to have the opposite effect on me.

Has anyone else had this problem with CBD causing anxiety or not working? I am not taking any prescription medications. I sometimes take 3mg of melatonin before bed, which I did not take tonight.

I take CBD Alive brand 20/1 CBD/THC for anxiety but only two drops a day. Not sure how many mg/drop. Wish dosages were more standardized. The effect is subtle but effective in the morning.

For anxiety, I started giving my son 20/1 CBD to THC. This means it has very very small amount of THC and was not psychoactive meaning he did not get high on that type of CBD. I gave him initially .2ml but you really should check with the dispensary consultant to discuss dose or a doctor that deals with CBD. CBD milligrams/ml is what you should know as many different brands have different concentrations. Some will say start with a 1/4 dropperful but it really depends on the brand, what you are using it for so that is why you should discuss it with a consultant at the dispensary.

For example I use Sunsoil 600 mg 60ml. .25 on the dropper twice daily works well for me. It's a very low dose but seems to be what my body needs. If I have a bad day I may add an extra dose. In an emergency, extremely rare, 1/4 of a .5 xanax is enough to stop a panic attack,

Actually, both my DR and pharmacist said I could not open the capsules and remove just a few pellets slowly. Their suggestion was 75 to 37.5 and the off over a month. I tried that and it resulted in me staying on for another 15 years because I was so scared of the result.

Been watching the world summit on eft (tapping). Anxiety is one of the issues they work with. It's tapping meridian points to move stressful memories out of the brain. Google it and learn another approach.
