Does CBD oil help you with your depression and/or anxiety?
I am curious to know if anyone has had success with CBD or Hemp oil helping with depression/anxiety? I’ve been reading a lot about it and am curious.
I've been reading about this and am very interested but would like thoughts/opinions from anyone who has actually tried it or knows someone who has. TIA
Thank you,
Laura

Do you think isolates work better than cbd oil with trace amounts (,3% thc) ? Which cbd brand have you found put it works the best for your son? Keep on learning about this sometimes the hard way....thanks
Hi, My son was taking treatwell 20:1 cbd to THC. Inotherwords about 10mg CBD and 1 mg THC so he would not get high. Unfortunately treatwell went out of business. I just saw a gerontology nurse practitioner who specializes in using CBD with her patients including those with psychiatric conditions and autism. We are switching brands so I will let this discussion group know how it goes with the new one she suggested. It is mail order only but less expensive which is good because I do not know of any insurance companies that will cover the cost. . Currently using temporarily Sweet Jane CBD 20:1 but I am not sure it is as effective. From lectures I have attended the product can vary a bit sometimes since it is made from a plant and not a pharmaceutical process
Has anyone tried compounded medications for localized pain? It takes a compounding pharmacist (PharmD) and doctors prescription. There are only two accredited compounding pharmacies in Minnesota - Mayo Clinic Rochester and Lake Elmo Pharmacy - http://www.lakeelmopharmacy.com/pain-management-2.html. If there are any available in your state or area it might be an alternative treatment for CBD with THC.
In California, marijuana is now legal. I imagine if in Minnesota cbd/THC is legal they could be ordered by mail order. Doubt that compounding pharmacies are making up CBD and THC but maybe?
LeafLine Labs in Minnesota has it if you have a prescription and are on the state's chronic pain registry.

@johnbishop I have not heard of a chronic pain registry. Is this a national thing or vary from state to state. You are always a source of information so if you have a site for me I can find out. When it comes to scouring the web I have the attention span of a gnat resulting in the desire to hurl my pc through the patio window-it is still under warranty...grin.
I have found the CBD does help my anxiety which then helps my pain. For so many of us this is crippling. I still feel I am tainted in some way because I have anxiety on so many levels. I cannot just "will" it out of me.
Hi @parus, the chronic pain registry for Minnesota is due to the cannabis, etc. not being legal in the state. Some legislators and doctors worked on a program to allow patients with chronic pain get medical cannabis products for treatment. I'm not sure all states have a program where it is not already legal. Here's the Minnesota site with all the info:

Oh my, you sound like me with the anxiety. I do use the CBD oil w/so THC. I find the one with THC works well only using a small amount. I usually use the one w/o thc. I need something before I leave the house because I get so anxious when I’m away from home. This all started with with drawing from Lyrica, and I have been told it can take up to two years before you feel yourself again. I am hoping for your benefit you find something that works well for you. Sending my best yo you
Hi, I'm using cbd oil not for chronic pain but for my 2 surgical menopause symptoms : bad sleep and mood liability. I don't know where to find reliable information so I just ask other women with my symptons and they seem to relay on hempworx. I tried 5 brands an hempworx helped me with: brain fog, mood liability, anxiety and quality sleep that in turn gave me resilience into my daily tasks dealing with stressors in general. I still feel there's no place to go when needing extra help and guidance about cbd in general and specific for this symptoms and neurological wellbeing in general. Hoping to fin some neutral, technical information from some practitioner that has experience with patients and can be trustful.
Hi Lorena, What dosage (concentration of CBD to THC ) and how often do you take it , that are you finding that helps with mood, anxiety and quality sleep?
How long have you been using CBD ? Sadly at this point, there is little expert help I have found in discussing this except with people who work at the dispensary or calling them to discuss I did go to a nurse practitioner who specializes in CBD and dosing and management. She is in Northern California . To my knowledge no insurance will cover this nor the CBD . If someone finds a good discussion group with people that are knowledgeable about CBD let me know.
