Orthostatic Hypotension diet?

Posted by nikkibear01 @nikkibear01, Jan 23, 2018

I have orthostatic hypotension, which is sudden drops in blood pressure when moving from a horizontal or resting position to standing. I am supposed to have a high-sodium diet, at least 2,000 mg of sodium per day. I am trying to come up with a healthy diet plan to help me lose weight while still eating increased amounts of sodium. I can't find anyone else with this condition and when I search online for diet plans, I just come up empty. Any ideas to help with this?

@nikkibear01, may I ask when you were diagnosed with this condition? Has your doctor recommended medication to regulate blood pressure?
