I have an appointment tomorrow but I read that a therapeutic dose of prozac ccan help so I just took one. Cannot wait til tomorrow. Feeling a bit better. 10 mg. Will probably ween off everything sick of all the side effects and use prozac to ween off as it is the easiest to stop.
If you are sick on five I believe it will get worse on ten.
Have an appointment tomorrow but I have read and done before using therapeutic dose of 10 mg prozac to get off most antidepressants. I can’t wait until tomorrow so I finally just took one. I think I would take another in a few days then add a day in between each time something to that sort but talking to dr tomorrow will keep you posted
I had severe non stop nausea on Trintellix 10 mg for 2 months. It even caused a trip to the emergency room ( I couldn’t figure out what was causing the nausea since I tolerate most drugs well). When my dr and I finally figured out what was causing it, I switched back to Lexepro and I’ve been fine.
I had nausea so bad I had to discontinue after just a few weeks
I too have had nausea with this even at low dosage of 2.5 mg. Had to stop taking it.
Hi Friends, I’m brand new to this forum and just over two weeks into Trintellix. I was on 5mg for one week and my doctor upped me to 10mg for the second week. Nausea has followed me from the start and constipation/stomach cramps have now been added to the mix. My question is, how long did it take to feel positive effects of the medication and whether those benefits now outweigh the side effects? Also have the negative side effects continued for much longer than 2-3 weeks?
Thank you!
Frankiep
I have now been on Trintellix for four weeks and the nausea is not going away. I have it every morning and due to working from home and off work for the holidays I can rest it off. However I cannot continue to function like this daily. I am going to discuss alternate choices or go back to Celexa when I see my doctor in New Year
Hi Tink,

Tink, I'm glad you have an appointment with your doctor in the new year to discuss options. May I ask why you and your provider chose to switch meds from Celexa to Trintellix?
I tried this over the holidays and it really helped. Half after breakfast and half after dinner
