Anyone have nausea with Trintellix 5mg? How long did it last? Been taking for almost 6 weeks and still have some nausea...will it get worse if I titrate to 10mg? Thanks.

My granddaughter has been on Trintellix for a year and has had nausea and vomiting to the point where she saw a specialist and had an endoscopy. Nothing was found. Her doctor said she could reduce her dosage and that would tell her if the Trintellix is the cause. In her experience people could tell the difference in side effects right away. Granddaughter spiraled down and needed to resume the previous dosage with no relief from vomiting. Has anyone had a similar experience? What else can she do to determine the cause?

I was on it for approximately 2 years. I am perplexed on why it was working so well with no side effects, then after 8 months and I had a right hip replacement and started getting nausea. Had many previous surgeries and never had nausea. Checked everything. Had every scope, scan, every different Doctor. Did stop Trentellix for 2 days with no results. I was living on anti nausea meds. I finally decided to wean myself off of it. Viola! Success!
My depression isn’t sadness or hurt myself, it’s over emotional and sensitive. Not a good look on a 6’1” 210 muscular build man! I have also been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder as well. After about a year and a half I asked a psychiatrist about another option as I had previously tried just about all anti depressants to no avail.
Lexapro worked but I was not able to deal with the sexual side effects.
Doctor started me out with 5mg of Trentellix every other day, with anti nausea meds.
I just started and instantly was sick. Supposed to do this regimen for 2 weeks, increase it to every day for 3 weeks. Then increase to 10 every morning.
I really hope this works this time. Has anyone else tried this for a positive experience

I have taken Trintellix for over 5 years, my doctor started me out on a low dose and quickly moved me to 20mg and I have been on that dose for a long time.
Since almost the first day I started taking this I have been throwing up on a regular basis, at least 2 to 3 days a week if not more.
My doctor added Zofran an anti-nausea medication that I take a couple times a day and I can take them when I start to feel nauseous up to 4 a day, very rarely do I take that many but I can. They sometimes work but not always. The nausea comes on very quick. I throw up and I feel fine.
The real problem is that other than throwing up this is the best medication I have ever been on. I am 54 years old and have been on and off antidepressants over half of my life and Trintellix is the one that works the best. That is the only reason that I throw up all the time. the benefits by far outweigh me throwing up. Although recently I have been having issues with my teeth I believe from all the throwing up.
