New PARI Nebulizer Options Coming Our Way?
PARI has introduced some new nebulizer products that, for now, appear to be available only in Europe. The new portable PARI BOY Go appears to be available only in Germany at this point.
I’d love to see these products introduced in the USA sooner rather than later, although I realize there are regulatory and other hurdles that have to be cleared first.
It might be possible for someone traveling to Europe or Germany to purchase one or both of these devices, although I don’t know what issues there might be with bringing them back to the USA, power compatibility, warranties, replacement parts, etc.

eFlow rapid nebulizer system, smaller new controller:

If anyone has information or experience with either of these newer products, please post any details here.
Since bronchiectasis is a lifelong condition, it’s encouraging to see continued development of nebulizer technology. Anything that can make our daily treatment routines faster, easier, or more portable could make a meaningful difference in managing the disease over the long term.

@scoop, I am happy for you.
Not so much luck for me: when I tried ordering it on Amazon.de, I got the message "... cannot be dispatched to your location...".
I guess I have to be a bit more patient!
Best wishes of great health to all of us!
@scoop, after all I was able to order it this morning, supposed to receive it on Oct. 19.
Not sure what happened yesterday.
Best wishes of great health to all of us!

1 ReactionIF you receive it and start using it please let us know how it works and how you can use it.
I only saw the Pari Boy Go filters on Amazon. Below is a pic of something I saw on Amazon as well.
@scoop can you please enlighten me? I currently use a Pari Trek & AeroEclipse XL when traveling . Microwave bags for sterilizing .
For a 2 week trip to Europe I took disposable nebs with the Pari Trek, which eliminated all the cleaning , etc. One & done .
How does this new nebulizer compare , pros & cons?
@susanrg20
This is unrelated to the Pari Boy Go. The Pari Boy Go Pack, sold separately with a replacement head/mesh, is not available via Amazon.de yet. It's basically a replacement head.
The one pictured above appears to be in the category disposable nebulizers, as sterilizing (boiling in water for 5 minutes) is not possible. It might be ok for a short trip.
@cholash
There’s a link at the top of the topic describing the Pari boy go. Simply, the difference is that the [Pari Trek] uses jet compressor technology and the Pari Boy Go uses vibrating mesh technology. My experience is that compressor technology takes longer than the mesh. No tubes with vibrating mesh, only a mouth piece. And generally, vibrating mesh nebulizers are more expensive.
If your system works for you, especially while traveling, I would stick to that. In the past, I’ve tried disposable nebs which seemed to take forever. Is your experience different? What type of tubing do you use? How long does it take you to nebulizer 4 ML of saline?
@scoop With regard to the disposable nebs I recently used, each neb came with its own tubing, and the treatment took around 20-25mins. Long , yes. But with our hectic travel schedule, for me, it was worth just getting up a little earlier in the morning , nebbing, then throwing everything away at the end of the session. Not having to worry about washing ,toting around bottled water, and sterilizing just really simplified things, providing less steps when it felt we were in constant motion. We changed rooms every 2-3 days.
As for normal travel using the Pari Trek & AeroEclipse XL, the AeroEclipse also takes long, around 20 mins. I use the breath activated mode , so there isn’t any waste of saline.
I read the info on Pari Boy, and tried to look at how it compares to AeroEclipse XL. It seems Pari Boy is a lot faster , delivers more med per inhalation , but also doesn’t use all the med since it’s continuously activated .
AeroEclipse XL is slower, but optimizes all the vial with no waste.
Is this correct ?
I think I’ll ask my pulmonologist to give me his 2 cents . I only nebulize 1x per day, so I feel like I need to breathe in the entire vial . I do love microwave steaming , as it’s easy and doesn’t take up any space , which also factors in to what I want to use .
All that to say, I would love to decrease my neb time , but also keep the microwave option as well.

I don't know how much wasted saline there is with the Pari Boy Go having never used it. And I am not really sure how I would measure it. What you're doing with the breath activated surely cuts down on waste. It's great that you can get away with 1x day. I'm in the 2x a day camp. I sometimes nebulize 2 vials, depending on how I am feeling. Sounds like your routine works for you! Impressive that you could travel moving hotels every couple of days and keep your routine and composure!
