Neurological symptoms caused by a Spine Stimulator

Has anyone had any unusual symptoms caused by a Spine Stimulator with Paddles? I’m now suffering from a Neurogenic Bladder, Central Sensitivity, Allydonia, Big Toe moving on its own, Groin pain, temple and Back of Head Headaches! When my Thoracic swells where the paddles WERE located gets irritated like when washing my hair , reaching it swells causing my face, neck, chin , pinky to go numb, now my shoulders are twitching, developed Tremors! Can’t sleep in a Bed or wear pants ( if I do I fall down) so I’m stuck wearing HUMILIATING Men’s sleep gowns and with cold weather I’m trying a robe as a coat! If I lean back against the swollen Thoracic I’m asleep in less than a minute or if I lean forward I fall asleep, drop my phone so many times! The swelling puts pressure on my Cervical which an Ultra sound shows Scar Tissue in the Thoracic

that sounds really hard. I can't say what's causing it, but with bladder problems, numbness, and swelling where the paddles were, I'd contact your neurosurgeon soon and ask about an MRI of your spine. If you get sudden weakness or lose bladder or bowel control, please go to the ER. Keep advocating for yourself.

@sergiomcarson I hope to never see that surgeon again unless it’s in a courtroom! I’ve been going thru Cleveland Clinic now trying to get help but was told they don’t deal with swelling see my PCP whom finally ordered an Ultrasound showing scar tissue . But the facial numbness started the week before removal during the assisted fall ( when I turned the stimulator off I developed a dull ache randomly in both legs and whenever I felt it I would about fall! So getting out of the therapy pool and feeling it , I lowered myself to my knee therefore raising up on my shoulders and pulling on the paddles! Another lady recovering from hip surgery reached to help me and she fell fracturing her shin)
I believe the cause of it was either it was put in wrong because I never got relief from day 1 that it was turned on, I’d complain as they were setting it it’s shocking my ribs and groin not my lumbar where I needed it! And they didn’t want me to adjust anything except between 2 programs and since they put it on no feel I had it on 60 trying to get relief instead it was damaging everything! I was hospitalized about 2 months after it was put in for Temple headaches for 5 days and finally after numerous test released to see a Brain Surgeon just to get home and turn it off and the headaches went away! I contacted the Surgeon ( that’s supposed to be involved instead I was told go se the Rep we just install and remove! Rep readjusted and it was still silently shocking me! About 4 months later Dr somethings wrong my Sacrum is getting worse again I’m messaged back see your Rep! They adjusted it and said leave off for 5 days , while there I seen pain management whom order an Caudal Epidural and if no relief I would need a second Stimulator( but wait I woke up and the pain was almost all gone !! It was the stimulator!!!) I needed a Cardiac MRI and thought it’s Mri Compatible no big deal! Wrong Boston kept a little secret it wasn’t Compatible so I was turned away! After having it removed I had the Cardiac MRI which they are keeping a watch on the Pulmonary Artery Aneurysm! I definitely would rather have my original pain back!

@sbtheplumber1 I’m really sorry you’ve had to go through all of this. It sounds like it has been an incredibly difficult and frustrating experience. I hope Cleveland Clinic is able to get to the bottom of what’s causing your symptoms and help you find some relief. Wishing you the best with your recovery.
