Tips on how to wean off of Paxil (paroxetine): Bad withdrawal.

Posted by debamato @debamato, Feb 21, 2024

I’ve been on Paxil for 20 years and that time went from 20 mg to 40 mg. Currently weaning off and down to 20 mg but having very bad side effects I would love to hear your positive experiences with this.

Have been 20 years on Paxil. Currently weaning off of it. I am down to 20 mg. Still continue to have side effects, ANXIETY, loss of appetite, foggy brain, wake from sleep very anxious as well. Please help with tips and ways to get through this until I am off of this medication.

On Paxil for 25+ years. Weaning off was horrendous for me. Debilitating anxiety which I did not have before taking Paxil. Couldn't leave the house. Completely off now but still have anxiety

@dap530, It’s truly a very big undertaking to get this medication out of your life, Paxil is reputed to be one of the most challenging antidepressant to stop, you are successful in doing so and it will help many people to feel hopeful to do the same thing.
