Anyone else entirely overwhelmed by the state of the planet?
I'm writing this in the middle of the night from Denmark and I hope, that someone is still on here, wo may is willing just to write for a little... im not in a great place and simply can't cope... I only joined this side the other day and as much as I would like to reach out on here, it also ads more fear and panic and more food for my brain in a negative way... it is all too much...
If someone is still awake , or in the day hours regions, then it would be amazing to hear from anyone who feels to write for a little while...

@templar13, I’ve been reading over your posts and processing what you’ve have shared, this way I don’t miss anything. I’m truly sorry to read that you’re daughter has battled with the evil cancer, I can’t express enough how huge this is for you to to be going through, as a mother, parent you wouldn’t hesitate to take this on yourself to spare your child from this horrible disease, I now clearly see your pain and feel a greater sense of your need to be in the UK where you not only want to experience the beauty of this country but also to share it with your daughter. I was diagnosed with lung cancer twice in the past six years, it changed me forever but this is to be expected, I have never been involved with social media but after going through the changes in my life I found this place to share and help others, this has been truly rewarding for me.. . don’t feel nearly as alone anymore and I’m learning more about myself and the world around me, connecting with others is very gratifying, I thank God daily for my family, friends and my life. I shall keep you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers, Frouke.

1 Reaction@frouke I like you adore cats...I swore no more though after I had to put my last one to rest . Broke my heart, wailed like a banshee when I brought his Ashes home....but now Ive done it again, young male tabby from a cat rescue but he keeps me going....that soft purring gets me off to sleep at night.
I don't watch any News either, its unbelievable what goes on and the attacks one person to another with knives! Im in Australia, we seem to have a machete culture here, having been brought here as a 7 year old girl by mum and dad over 60 years ago. I still love England and Ireland, my dad's home. Love its green land and English country side and quaint cottages. Im alone now, husband passing 6 years ago so just Louie, my cat and I. My family want me to move closer to them, Im hour half away but hard to leave here. I have a view of the river valley and green hills. Large deck, netted in, with a cat flap, so Louie is safe but can still watch the birds and chase moths, sometimes brings one inside or a cockroach! Good to connect with other like souls here 🙏

1 Reaction@cas2001, I find Australia fascinating, you’ve got creatures there that don’t exist anywhere else in the world, if I could travel I would definitely visit. I have always loved cats, once they get inside your heart it’s a done deal, they’re very special and smart, they know how to charm you when they want your attention but they live life on their own terms. As I told Templar, my kitty is a fat girl with a face like an angel, you’re right about their purring, it’s very soothing. I’m really enjoying talking to people from different countries and connecting about what we share in common. I read that you lost your husband six years ago, I hope that you’re doing well, it’s painful losing your significant other, I always felt that I lost a half of myself but I still feel him in my soul, it’s true when Shakespeare wrote “ Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all,” not sure if I quoted him correctly. Thank you for sharing with me, it sounds ideal when you describe your home, I can picture it in my mind, from one soul to another and devoted cat people, God bless you, Frouke…

2 ReactionsI agree with you, a very good point was made about how to cope with our world and avoiding all the negativity that comes from the media, they are merely out to get your attention because it’s a business after all. I also responded to the original post made and the heading initially made me feel that it was based on someone who was clearly stressed with all the problems with our world. When I read what they were talking about I felt an entirely different reaction to the message so I responded with my own feelings that the message said to me, either way we both put our heart felt thoughts into our responses and that’s what we were aiming to achieve.
@baa Thank you. I appreciate it.
I try to remind others (and myself) that it's important to initiate positivity.
As I say to people who are feeling depressed or discouraged, try encouraging someone else. Everybody needs it, including me.

4 ReactionsI am also overwhelmed with the state of the world and even more so the state of my country which happens to be the United States. I never thought I would be dealing with the things I am dealing with in my lifetime and I am 75.
That being said I am in Washington DC visiting my son who is going through a mental health crisis and that is first and foremost in my thoughts.
I have posted many times on this site and I wish you all well. My son will get through his crisis and hopefully the United States will get through its own crisis.
As far as the entire world I can only hope that it gets back on track and yes it is overwhelming but it always seems to make it through. This could be one of its toughest challenges but good people the world over seem to rise to the occasion. They have in the past and they will again.

7 ReactionsThis is exactly why in all the "Anonymous" that you work on believing in a higher power. I do not believe in Christianity or any of the dogma, however, believing in a higher power is so we can keep in mind that we have no control over anything but how we think and make decisions. This is not our game and there is nothing we can do about what is going on. Focus on what you have control over and leave the world to whatever is running the world. Trying to run our own lives is a big enough problem to work on.

4 ReactionsI agree with you- I need to remind myself that the only thing I can control is my response or lack of, and how I choose to live life. It saves a lot of unnecessary stress.
