Does anyone take milk thistle or beet root to reduce liver enzymes?

My liver enzymes tripled, They are AST 166 and ALT 136. I am 20 pounds over weight and walk daily but weight never changes. I am 75.

When my AST and ALT became mildly elevated, my doctors ordered many follow up blood tests and imaging tests. Has your doc done the same?

👋
I had been diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver years ago. I mentioned this to a friend of mine who was a RN. She suggested that I take Milk Thistle. I followed her advice and now, I am happy to report that I no longer have Fatty Liver. (Mine you, I have been taking it for years)My liver enzymes now normal! So, YES, I fully endorse Milk Thistle for liver issues. I'm not sure if it will work for anyone else, but for me personally, I had nothing but good results.

BTW, even though my liver enzymes are in thr normal range, I still take Milk Thistle every other day. I take a lot of meds everyday, so this herbs does a great job in cleaning my liver.

Best regards,

If your diet includes a lot of processed foods, eliminate them and you see weight loss. Happened to me and the Fibroscan for my liver showed a drastic reduction.
