more stiffness on one side of my body

While PMR is considered bilateral, I have more stiffness on one side of my body. Almost gone on my right, but left leg is still stiff and painful even and especially in bed.

PMR is generally bilateral but not always. I have pain on both sides but more pain on my left side, both at the shoulder and hip girdle. Maybe that has something to do with our pain receptors.

I too have been experiencing more shoulder and hip pain in left side and not near as much or as often on right. My Rheumatologist is having an Ultra Sound on my Left shoulder to rule out other issues.

I have been seeing PT for some arthritis in the left hip. I have had more problems on the left side and a hip x-ray indicated some arthritis on the left side, not so much on the right side.

@abd
I had a PET scan because I also have SMM. My rheumatologist thinks that some of my shoulder pain is from SMM but my PET scan came back clean.

My left side was worse than my right. It is quite common that one side is worse than the other. Our bodies aren't as symetrical as we'd like.

Fir me, .y left calf was the worst for awhile and over a few months the pigest pain progressed farther up, knees, hips, buttocks, shoulders, neck and then somewhat dissipated. Meanwhilw, reducing prednisone 1mg per month and Kevzara injections.

I find I need to stay aware of body position - eg when driving since most cars are automatic, your left leg can be in one position for a long time on a long , When sitting I have bad habits of leaning on one leg, arm etc. Any static position held for a long time inhibits circulation, even standing.
