PMR is generally bilateral but not always. I have pain on both sides but more pain on my left side, both at the shoulder and hip girdle. Maybe that has something to do with our pain receptors.

I too have been experiencing more shoulder and hip pain in left side and not near as much or as often on right. My Rheumatologist is having an Ultra Sound on my Left shoulder to rule out other issues.

I have had more pain with my left side than my right side for many years.
