Does anyone else have pancreatic cancer mets to their stomach?

I am so sorry to hear about your Husband. My husband also has mets to his lungs and stomach and they think quire possibly to his liver also but he hasn't had any scans since April. He was tired of going to the Hospital and doing all of the scans and blood work, etc so he went on Hospice . He has lost 85 lbs. in about 9 months.
he also has a lot of pain in his stomach and is taking Oxy for the pain. He barely eats any more.
I know how hard this must be on you because I am experiencing the same. We have been together since we were 17 and have been married for 51 years. I am just taking each day as it comes and trying to keep him as comfortable as possible. He takes a lot of comfort from me holding his hand or being close to him even if I am just reading a book beside the bed as he sleeps which he is now doing 20-21 hours a day.
Please don't forget to take care of you as this can be a long journey .

@suelannon Did your husband get an ERCP which is a stent put in the bile duct, which is an easy and common out patient endoscopic proceedure which almost always relieves pain coming from the abdominal and pancreatic area. the pain is due mostly from the tumor pushing on the liver and bile duct.
I understand if you go into HOSPICE, you give up your right to life saving/extending procedures like a stent, and are only given drugs to make you comfortable, upping the drugs as you go. And of course if you are not eating, your days will be numbered. You could ask or demand a Doctor tell you why he can't get a stent They will tell you if you go for a stent, you give up your rights to the Hospice team, and their free services. Frankly thats how it works.
But if you go on paliative care, you still get help to prolong your life with as little discomfort as possible, thru doctor visits, and treatments beyond drugs.
I don't know your situation, and I might be out of line here. But if he has pain and has not had an ERCP I would ask immediately.

Im sorry to hear what you are going thru as well. Its hard for them to deal with this but its hard for us to see it. Its crazy how life can change just like that. He was having some stomach pain here and there and now 8mos later he is thin and frail and suffering from this. Its completely heart breaking. My husband is supposed to start that new med daraxonrasib - hopefully in the next or so. I would say ask your husband if he wants to try that but I get not wanting to deal with this any more as well. It sucks. My husband is 53 - our son is 17 so he is trying so hard to stay around for him and me. Hang in there. Im always here if you need to vent.

This is tough.
Remember that Hospice is NOT a one and done decision. You can go off hospice and then pursue a medical procedure, such as a stent.
Hospice will be there again for you if you wish. This is a big decision and only you and your husband know what the right path will be. I will pray for you.

Both my parents had to be on hospice before they passed. Im just not mentally ready for that yet. Still praying we get the new med - daraxonrasib by the end of the week and that helps. And praying the radiation ultimately helps with pain control. Such a horrible disease!!!! Thank you

@kmbori Sorry about your husband's condition. That has to be difficult for both of you? Do you know if his request for daraxonrasib was put in before or after the FDA approval last week? I wonder if the process has changed after the approval.

The request was put in before the FDA approved it. Its been 3.5wks. The process did change. We would have received the medication by now but now that its FDA approved it comes from a different specialty pharmacy and its ran thru your insurance. I think it was almost easier when it was a trial.

Im trying to hold it together for him and our 17 year old son.
It gets so hard at times. All I want to do is cry.
He has lost so much weight - he is just bones.
So depressing.

@tomrennie He has fought this so hard over the last 2 Years . We spent so much time with our Sons and their Families and we were able to get 2 good trips in but we are in the final phase now. He is sleeping all of the time and has stopped eating and drinking. Last week he was having a tremendous amount of anxiety so Hospice has put him on Lorazepam which has helped keep him very peaceful. You don't think about it but I think the anxiety for him was almost worse than the pain. His pain has been managed very well.
After 55 years together, I cannot imagine Life without him .

Thank you for asking. You are such a kind person and you are helping so many people while dealing with all of this yourself. I will continue to pray for you and hoping one day they find a cure for this . It really is a terrible disease and takes so much from everyone involved.
