Shortness of Breath after inhalation

I’ve been treated with inhalation therapy for Bronchiectasis for more than 25 years at various times with Colistin, Tobi and Cayston. Plus I’ve nebulized 7% sodium chloride and use the puffer for albuterol and Stiolto Respimat. I take Zithromax 3x a week.
Over the past year I have become so very SOB after nebulizing any medicines along with the 7% NACL. It has become so bad that I discontinued most of the inhalation therapy and switched to 3% NACL. I now only do airway clearance, the vest, albuterol & Stiolto Respimat puffer, Zithromax and nebulize 3% NACL only.
Has anyone else experienced SOB after nebulizing? Also, I’ve been on Zithromax for 25 years and wonder what negative effect it could be having on my body.

@lindabreathless Increasing shortness of breath makes me think of three possibilities - worsening lung damage, a new issue like asthma, and that you have possibly developed a sensitivity to either the medication or one of the ingredients in it.
What does your pulmonologist have to say? Have you had a recent pulmonary function test (PFT) or CT scan to evaluate what is happening?
