Brinsupri and hair thinning

After 6 months on Brinsupri I have hair thinning, I’m not sure if that’s what’s causing it though. Has anyone else experienced this?

There are several types of alopecia ones is called Diffuse Alopecia Areata which causes loss of hair at a slow rate making it hard to recognize until balding is present. So this could be the type of hair loss I could be experiencing with Brinsupri.

@brekkit123 I have been talking a couple of the OTC hair treatments that I found that have very high recommendation for 60 days now and I’m seeing new hairs where I had thinning. I’m trying not to get too excited but am hopeful. 🤞🤞my hair is very long so it will take some time before there is any real improvement.

I wonder if anyone else got vertigo from Brinsupri.

I had my first bronchectasis exascerbation in April 2026. Nurse Practitioner ordered Doxycycline Hyclate 100 mg cap; stopped after 2 pills because it affected my mental acuity. Once I stopped the Doxycycline, my mental acuity was back to normal. I asked N.P. what other medication I could try & she mentioned Brinsurpri but did not order it for me. My current Plan D does not cover it; will switch to a different Plan D during open enrollment. do you know if side effects go away once you stop Brisupri? Read vision can be affected which would not be good. Need an action plan to know of other options in case I get another bronchiectasis exascerbation. Thank you Barbara

Does anyone know if a really knowledgeable pulmonologist in san jose, ca who treats a lot of patients with bronchiectasis and MAC? Have had Mac show up on sputum samples which were spaced months apart.
Do not know how to send a note to someone who might be able to answer this question. When I had my first (and only thus far) bronchiectasis exascerbation, it lasted 2-1/2 months so need to get an ACTION PLAN for treating it when/if I get another BE. Thank you. Barbara
