Acapella vs aerobika

My pulmo didn’t recommend one over the other. I just found the Acapella. Has anyone tried both ? Is one more effective than the other?

I have both, arobika is easier to keep clean because it comes apart.

I take apart the acapella completely, soak it in soapy water and sterilize it in my Bololo.
I like the acapella just fine, I prefer it to the Aerobika: the plastic of the aerobika smells strong and it bothers my sinuses a lot and triggers polyps.
There are some acapellas that cannot be taken apart, but my RT gave me a smaller one that can be taken apart, he said it's small but it works well for everybody. I use it on 5 and it works well.

I find the Aerobika works much better and I only breath out through it and not in so there is no plastic taste etc.

@rbl the Acapella comes totally apart too. It was tricky at first until I found a YouTube video. I take it totally apart wash and sterilize

I agree with the others. Aerobika is much better for me. Easy to clean and I can attach it to my nebulizer which cuts down the time I spend on airway clearance. I find it an extremely convenient and effective device.

I would love to cut down on some of the time BE takes. How does the Aerobika work with the nebulizer ?

You have to get the Arro Eclipse nebulizer cup which attaches to the Aerobika. Works great. Can be sterilized along with Aerobika.

Hi, everyone, I'm new to this group & new to bronchiectasis.
I already had a nebulizer & purchased a flutter hand-held device from Amazon. But I'd like to do the flutter breathing during the nebulizer treatment to save time, & it seems the Aerobika would be a good option. I read that it's recommended to be used with the AeroEclipse nebulizer.
My question is, is it okay to use it with my nebulizer? (I've been nebulizing 3% saline.)
If so, where can I purchase the green AeroEclipse cup to adapt it to my nebulizer? I saw that someone mentioned getting it in one of the discussions, but haven't been able to find the cup in the online medical supplies that I checked. I appreciate any help!

@normajean13
Try Saveritemedical.com

They are all the same diameter nebulizer and aerobika. They sort of plug and play. You might need to experiment a bit to find what works for you.

One of the members here made a video how it all works.

@normajean13 you can purchase the aero eclipse ( just do a google search and you can find it but I’ve found that you use other standard neb cups with the aerobika
