Diagnosed with Meningioma

Posted by IrishMomz @irishmomz, Aug 7, 2019

Saw a neurosurgeon went over my options. My surgery date is tentatively the end of this month. Nervous.. looking for advice from someone who has been through it. Tumor is located behind my left eye and is attached to my optic nerve.

@joetex no one mentioned "biopsy" to me. Now I'm totally confused and angry. 😠 I have a pre op appointment this week. Will be sure to question this. Thanks @joetex I'll let everyone know what I find out

@ladytri greetings- I had brain surgery 8 years ago.
I would suggest you ask if post surgery treatment will include radiation. There are short term benefits. It is also possible to have symptoms present weeks or months even years later.

Actually it’s a PPO but I’m sure it’s the doctor. He charges the same amount no matter who I see I’m not going back I’m done with him. I want someone that specializes in this.

@ladytri Did I misunderstand? I thought in your post you said you got a second opinion saying a biopsy was possible only with surgery. That is what I was referring to.
