What is a time, activity, place, etc., that brought peace/serenity?

SCUBA diving always brought me peace. I think it was because I had to stay present and the beauty of being underwater.

Spent the day picking blueberries , no fees just freebies. The area we pick in is a little remote but it is a delight in that it is quiet with just birdsong and the wind as background. We are fortunate to have such simple pleasures at our disposal, would suggest it to anyone, can’t wait for the blueberry muffins., they’re especially good in January.

That sounds so nice! That's wonderful that you have a place to go pick blueberries! Your blueberry muffins sound delicious! I love picking berries in the woods and have since I was a child. My husband and I used to pick wild blackberries in a woods which also had a beautiful view of the water and the mountains. We really enjoyed that and the blackberry pies we made! Then the city cut all the trees and berries down and put up tall condos so the view went also! Still I'm glad we had the memories.
Enjoy your blueberry muffins!

Out of the mouths of babes - This afternoon, my 7 year old grandson sat under the skylight at the dining room table with his paints and dinosaur models. I was working nearby in the kitchen, his brother and grandpa off in other rooms. As I handed him his brushes, he grinned at me and said "This is SO peaceful!"

I ask no more than classical music on radio; it sends me instantly in a calm relaxing place, away from the the noise that sometimes becomes overbearing.

That is so true! I love classical music also. It is very relaxing. Also any kind of music that you really love can take you away from the world for a pleasant while.

@diverdown1 if u were close I would give u some. These activities are like great music, they evoke a time in one’s memory, hopefully joyous. Picking berries has always been an enjoyable event especially the eating part.
