Any non fracture members?

I guess I’m just looking for some encouraging words. I was diagnosed in February and still working through the different stages of grief/loss. I seem to have more days stuck in depression/sadness.

So, was just wondering if anyone on here has dealt with OP for quite a while and hasn’t fractured? I know you can fracture even if your scores are osteopenia range. I feel like everyday I’m just waiting for a fracture to happen. Im exercising 6 days a week and watching my food intake. I’m just hoping as time goes on this feeling lessens. Sometimes I’m not sure if it’s the diagnosis that’s making me sad or just the fact that I’m getting older, I’m 60, and reality has finally set in.

@frog100 Hi! What do you think of Reclast and Fosamax? Have you taken either? Any side effects?

I took actonel for five years and did the three years of Reclast. Can’t comment about the actonel, but the Reclast did improve my T scores with no side effects .Since I am small and small boned and learned that a TBS score would be helpful when getting my next DEXA, I am remaining optimistic that my T scores maybe overstated, and thanks to all those sharing about TBS . I am choosing not to do Evenity at this time. I want to wait until my next DEXA. I have learned a great deal from everyone sharing. I google every recommendation or question shared, and really appreciate Osteoboost’s seminars and also Osteoboston for information. At 83 I would definitely do Reclast again to remain stable, since I had no side effects then in my late 70’s. Each person is unique and there are so many variables to consider, age, T scores, diet, exercise.

@frog100 Thank you for replying. It sounds like you are doing well! I am leaning toward Reclast so it is encouraging to hear that you had no side effects. You are right; each person is different.
