HOARSENESS in my VOICE or LARYINGITIS

Is this what happens to people who have bronchiactisis? I was diagnosed 9 years ago and just started hoarseness. On Trelegy and use flutter valves.

Double and triple rinse and gargle several times with water only after using Trelegy to prevent hoarseness.

My pulmonologist recommended Astepro over the counter, azelestine.
It works for me.

@semperfibob16 I started with Trelegy and later switched to Breztri. Both gave me an itchy throat and hoarseness. Went to a ENT and was given a prescription nose spray for “post nasal drip”, and it helped some. I know that the steroids can cause thrush so I asked my pulmonologist about it. He prescribed a “swish and swallow” medication. I use it after my nighttime Breztri, brushing teeth and mouthwash. I try not to drink anything afterwards so it’s not diluted. I have noticed a huge improvement in my throat and the itching and hoarseness. Hope this helps.

@jerdonus The main ingredient is Nystatin which is an anti fungal medication. It can include lidocaine for deadening pain; Benadryl for irritation; and an antacid to help coat the mouth and throat. Ask your pharmacy for the wording for a prescription if your doctor isn’t familiar with this medication. The label on the bottle only lists nystatin. I only take it once at night and mainly “as needed”.

I don’t know where to start or if this is even the right place? I’ll try T be real quick.
We almost lost my husband 23 years ago to heart failure. Ejection fraction 14. (He’s now a young 73) Ok lots in between but got up to 35! Last couple years has been dropping to 20. His body has been quick to adapt. Has been in hospital twice recently not knowing if he’d make it. COPD, heart failure & stage 3 kidney disease.
Home with oxygen, nebulizer, rescue inhaler. He’s also taking prescription meds. Although all vitals are great, blood pressure a tad low. He seems to progressively getting more hard breathing, hoarse voice, tired, no appetite & stomach hurts. He does have chronic sinus trouble over the years.
We’re so confused at what we can do at home? Doctors arnt much help as they’re so overloaded.
How can he breath better??
