Why do I cough up mucus at the end of every meal?

I have researched, but failed to find out why at the instant I complete any meal, I begin to cough up mucus. Most embarrassing!

@vmorton have you ever tried Spiriva Respimat (inhaler), Glycopyrrolate (oral), or Breztri (inhaled glycopyrrolate)? Since you're producing mucus directly after meals (same thing I'm experiencing), it has to be a "cholinergic" response or from acid reflux/GERD/LPR/etc. I've basically fully ruled acid reflux in my case (Bravo pH test, endoscopy, tried all medications, OTC drugs, etc.). Glycopyrrolate oral 2mg/day + Spiriva Respimat (2 inhalations, 2.5mcg/day) has helped reduce my post-meal secretions immensely, but I'm switching to trying Breztri since glycopyrrolate is systemic (and has other side effects) and Breztri is more targeted on the lungs. I also have very mild bronchiectasis but I'm convinced that post-meal symptoms are a separate issue.

@coachcal I do have acid c reflux and my pulmonologist recently recommended taking famitodine (pepcid) right after eating. It works really well. As soon as the last bite is taken I take a 20 mg tablet pepcid and I'm good.
