Has anyone tried CBN to help with sleep?
Has anyone tried CBN to help with sleep? I have two products, Restorative Sleep (50 mg dose) and NuLeaf (30mg dose), but I haven't tried either of them yet. Just wanting to know if they work. There is no CBD in them, no THC.

@judybradford I don't have any experience with cannabinol (CBN) but I did find some information on the Sleep Foundation website that might be helpful.
"What Does CBN Do for Sleep?
Manufacturers of sleep aids that contain CBN claim cannabinol can bring on drowsiness. Anecdotally, people claim that aged cannabis products have more CBN and therefore tend to make a person feel sleepy. However, there are few high-quality studies that specifically examine the effects of CBN for sleep.
The limited scientific evidence in favor of using cannabinol for sleep comes mostly from small studies conducted in the 1970s and 1980s. In one of these studies, CBN on its own had little to no effect on sleepiness, but participants did feel drowsier when they took CBN together with THC.
Although cannabis products like CBN show promise for helping people fall asleep quicker and stay asleep through the night, additional high-quality research is needed to understand the potential effects of cannabinoids on sleep."

1 ReactionYes, Judy, I do have experience with CBN, but only in conjunction with CBD and THC. I use a product called 1:1:1 made by SunMed (get SunMed.com). It had equal amounts of these three cannabinoids. It helps me sleep and keeps me asleep. It comes in gummy form.
I took Camino deep sleep gummies that contained CBD, THC and CBN 5mg each. They worked well but caused my AFIB/SVT to worsen. I then discovered that any of these products are contraindicated if you have a problem with arrhythmia. Unfortunately I had to discontinue using them.

2 ReactionsThis is the first I have heard of this. I use the 1:1:1 product by SunMed which helps keep me asleep at night. I also have PSVT, so I am curious about your posting. What research has showed an adverse effect on tachycardia patients? Thank you.
@barbaradh I looked it up on the NIH website and it says that cannabis has an adverse effect on the heart with respect to arrhythmia.
Open Evidence is an AI site that also gave me info about arrythmias and THC/CBD. Well, it looks like I will finish off my gummies and then return to my sleepless nights. So disheartening!

1 ReactionI tried CBD oil a few years ago. It was touted to help with sleep and pain. It helped me with neither.
