Should patients with long COVID get the COVID vaccine booster?
I was diagnosed with LC in June. I was planning on getting a fall Covid booster and flu shot. However I’m seeing reports that LC symptoms worsen after a booster. Does anyone have more information about?

1 ReactionFor the, first time this year ,I am foregoing the covid vaccine.
There are very different opinions about the vaccine. Some of us get every single vaccine as it becomes available - I'm not one of them, but I believe the thinking is that getting Covid again would likely make their symptoms much worse than the vaccine.
In my case, I developed chronic heart issues from the vaccine, and Long Covid after having Covid for the fourth time. I will never take another Covid vaccine, because it might worsen my heart problems. It's a discussion I've had with my doctors, and no one questions my decision because I'm the one who has to live with the consequences either way.
If you have doctors you trust, I recommend you talk the issue through with them. I've gotten a lot of support and encouragement from both my primary care and my cardiologist.

1 Reaction@homemarcy thank you for sharing this.
@djg3012 Will you share why you’re not getting it?
I had covid infection in 2022 and it resulted in rapid heartbeat along with profuse sweating. I also had concerns about getting vaccinated because I thought that it would make my symptoms worse, however this didn’t happen. My feelings were that getting reinfected would have more serious consequences than the vaccine, it was my choice to make and I didn’t consult the doctor about.
@mel62, this is a good question. Like others have said, follow the guidance of your health care provider.
