Has your loved one experienced aggravated delusions upon waking?
Hello
Been a couple of weeks.
Has anyone had their Alzheimer’s spouse experience aggravated delusions upon waking up in the morning, lasting a frenetic 3or 4 hours and then like throwing a switch they calm down and become calm and reasonable?

I've just posted an AI summary of the LiO Nature & Harvard Gazette articles, followed by a summary of my take on LiO dosage, timing, etc. Do let me know here, there or in the excellent long-term LiO discussion started by pb50.

1 Reaction@trishaanderson "...good for her and her memory?"
His response seemed to me sort of a "startle" that I knew about and mentioned something he agreed with, which I greatly appreciated. I don't recall details, but seem to recall following up with a question that he somewhat deferred as though he agreed it can be helpful but didn't consider it a clinically tested and approved treatment. That fits with my own sense that it temporarily helps functionally, but doesn't affect long-term progression and outcome. I can repeat my excitement about how it gave us an immediate reprieve from the worst of her daily symptoms.

3 Reactions@longboat1 "...how much LiO are you taking and when"
I've varied brands and dose ever since starting us (me too, as a "control") on LiO. I'm hesitant to write more on that here in this Topic so as to minimize distraction from the original question. I've just posted an AI Summary of the very detailed 2025 Harvard Alzheimer study article in Nature, and followed that with a brief summary of my evolving experience, if that might add some detail.
