Fallen 3x this Month
Could my falling be Lupron related?
I had my 6 month Lupron shot in May 2026 and SBRT in June 2026. No side effects on either
All of a sudden, I am falling. Never happened before.
In the past few weeks, I have fallen 3 times, one a horrid face plant which has left me with 2 black eyes and purple bruising all over my face.
I am ready for Halloween!
I am not on any medication except for Levothryoxine (thyroid) which I have been on since age 35 (75 yo now).
Baseline bone scan okay
Blood pressure excellent, all recent labs good etc. I hike 2-3 miles almost every day, have for 15 years, and am hiking currently.
Could 4 months into my Lupron be causing my balance issues?
I am lifting weights, but only weekly. I figure all my yard work is building some muscle too
I welcome any advice and/or opinions
Thanks

1 ReactionI had 2 unexplained falls, light headed, and some balance issues. The physical therapist did some tests and figured out very quickly that it was orthostatic hypotension. I would stand to quickly or if I was even taking a hot shower I would get dizzy. The PT showed me how my blood pressure would drop from 130/70 to 90/50 likely causing my falls. Been an awareness thing for me, flex my leg muscles and fists 2 or 3 times before standing and moving a little slower.
Probably totally unrelated to your issue.
@service1010
I just finished two years of Zometa quarterly infusions.
At this point, it is determined that this amount will stay in the body for another year or two so no more treatment is needed right now.
I was on Fosamax weekly for six years, No break there.

1 Reaction@oldoz Easiest enough for me to do. And probably good for an old man like me anyway!
Thank you
@jeffmarc
Jeff was it 3mg every 3 months?
