Experience with National Jewish Health?
Has anyone been to national jewish health that can share there experiences? My dr is recommending a visit to them but I live in wa state so would be quite a journey. I’ve been dealing with mac for 4 plus years. Taking azithromyacin and ethambutol. Couldn’t tolerate the big 3. Also on clophazamine and nebulizer and airway clearance 2 times day. I’m not really sure what else can be done but would love any input.

I just returned last night from my first visit to National Jewish Health in Denver. I had Dr. Eddy and my husband and I were both very impressed. I was assigned an ambassador with whom I could communicate with through their MyChart (Intermountain Health). I sent questions to her before and during my visit. We stayed at Staybridge Suites, Denver, Cherry Creek. It is listed on the hospital's Web site and is discounted for their patients. They offer free Lift services daily to and from the hospital. (You just need to tip the driver.) They also have free Happy Hour food and drinks Monday-Wednesday evenings as well as complimentary breakfast. I highly recommend National Jewish Health.
Congratulations and thanks so much for the info . @iart how long did it take for you to get an appt after doing the Nurse interview? I am in Greenville SC and waiting desperately to hear back as it has been 3 weeks. All information is appreciated.
@smtdoc I wonder what hotel it as. Last visit we stayed at double tree b Hilton- the 10 % discount on the room and free parking. Otherwise although I asked for a microwave we did not get one. There is one I. The hall but it’s not easy to take an elevator downstairs to use it
