Unknown Body Odor

I need help! I've got a bad odor coming from my body, that I can't smell. Yes it's hard to explain. Doctors think I'm making it up. In public people avoid closeness, coughing, holding their noses, avoiding me at all cost. I'm a prisoner in my home. Don't venture out unless low on food and pick times to do it. I'm constantly shamed.im healthy, clean. Homes clean, I can't explain. Have spent last two yrs going to every type doctor to no avail. My family can't smell it either. Has anyone heard of this?

Good Day Ms @jlharsh, I really appreciate this feedback.

Truthfully, I don't know what else to do, for now I just spare my self from further Spendings.

Am just bearing it for now, No continues medical treatment at the moment. Just don't know what to do, because I already spend a lot of money on it, what am telling my self now is to "Cope" and Bear the Shame of a Grown up Man.

@wisdom, I can understand reaching a point where you need to step back from spending more money without getting answers.

You may want to take some time to read through this discussion. It is a lengthy one that has been active for quite a while, but that also means there are a number of members sharing what they have experienced, what they have tried, and suggestions they have received along the way. You may find experiences similar to your own or questions that would be useful to take with you if you decide to see a doctor again.

I also noticed the test result you shared is a urethral swab and culture. Rather than trying to interpret that result here, do you remember what the clinician who ordered the test told you about the Staph that grew in the culture? Were you treated for it, and if so, did the treatment make any difference in what you were experiencing?

One other thing seems worth asking about. You’ve said that you experience an odor, but people you’ve asked have told you they don’t notice it. Have you ever specifically told a doctor about that difference and asked whether it could be an important clue?

And please don’t feel that you need to “bear the shame” here. You’re welcome to talk openly with other members about what you’re experiencing.
