What is the best probiotic to take while on triple antibiotic therapy?

I was just diagnosed with pulmonary MAI after a biopsy. I will be on a regimen of Rifampin/Ethambutol/Azithromycin for 12-18 months. I want to avoid a yeast infection(s). My reading states there are two probiotics: Saccharomyces boulardii and lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. I am leaning toward the Saccharomyces bollardii as it cannot be destroyed by the triple antibiotic. I do not see the pulmonologist until the end of the month, but I want to be prepared with questions. Suggestions?

I too want to integrate probiotics and am also just starting treatment. I read that taking them 2-4 hours after the antibiotics was sufficient.

I think this one looks promising for use during antibiotics. Spaced 2 to 4 hours after. It includes Sac. Boulardi but you could probably take extra of that as well.

Thank you for this suggestion. This strain of helpful probiotics has been highlighted in many articles I have read.

But are any companies *reliably* providing what they say they are on the label? (Speaking as a retired PhD microbiologist/molecular biologist.)

My dietician at NJH recommends Jarro-Dophilus EPS 10 billion CFU as a probiotic. I have been on it for 3 years and have had no problems with my gut. I buy it on Amazon.

I have been taking California Gold Lactobif 30 since starting the meds and have had no issues. I buy these at iHerb.com and find the price very reasonable. I make sure not to take any antibiotic 4hrs before or after taking the probiotic.
