Pain and stiffness from menopause
I'm in menopause I do know this. Im currently only prescribed estradiol cream. I have served pain that radiates from place to place. This pain is like no other I get so stiff and at times feel like I cant walk. I work full time on my feet for 8&1/2 hours. I need some advice please...I'm so over this...

Hi, @tinam76, and welcome.
I'm sorry you're dealing with so much pain. It sounds incredibly difficult, especially when you're on your feet for an 8½-hour workday.
Many women notice new aches and joint pain during menopause, but severe pain that moves from place to place and leaves you feeling so stiff that it's hard to walk is something I'd encourage you to discuss with your doctor or healthcare team. They can help determine whether your symptoms are related to menopause or whether something else might be contributing.
I'm curious, when did this pain first begin? Did it come on gradually, or did it seem to start all at once? And is it worse at certain times of the day or does it seem to flare up unpredictably?

1 ReactionThis is what I’ve researched = “When estrogen drops in menopause, the tissues that keep your joints cushioned, lubricated, and calm lose one of their main protectors — so they get drier, stiffer, and more inflamed. That’s why joints start to hurt.”
2019 started post menopause (one year after last period). After 5 years my severe menopause symptoms weren’t going away as I had hoped. My OBGYN agreed and prescribed micro-dose HRT (hormone replacement therapy) in 2024. Estrogen patch + progesterone pill.
Menopause symptoms have lessened, but now for the past year I have joint pain in knees, back, hips and buttocks. I’ve used NSAIDS, ice packs, heating pad, Icy Hot rub, chiropractor, PT, and massage. I’m taking supplements = Tumeric, fish oil, glucosamine, chondrotin, MSM, tart cherry juice, Vitamin D3 with K2.
At night I feel like a “rotisserie chicken” turning over and over trying to find a sleeping position where my hips don’t hurt.
I’ve seen the ads for Provitalize, but haven’t tried it yet. Anyone else find relief using Provitalize?
Yesterday I researched red light therapy and infrared therapy. I’m going to try a $40 belt which promises to give deeper healing than just a heating pad. Has anyone else found relief with something like this?
What have other women tried for this nightly hip pain so that they can sleep?
