Hi i have AF when it does go off for no apparent reason ( can be just sat watching the tele) waiting for an electrode op or sumat where they put a wire in u hip and freeze me heart...has anyone experienced this op or any advice...pardon the punt but it breaking me heart and upsetting me ...living with af is awful and unless people around me understand the condition no one understands what its like when u in it...the pounding of the chest is horrible

That sounds like an ablation. I had this on 8/5/26. It is under anesthesia and well tolerated. I was tired for a few days after but no pain. I have built up walking since the second day after and today walked 4.32 miles. So far I’ve had no Afib. Good luck! You will do fine.

Hi. Sorry you're going through this and many of us share your anxiety about the condition and what you're options are. You might read through the posts I started, "Is 81 too old for ..." posted under Heart Rhythm Conditions. I see my electrophysiologist on Thursday this week to see what is possible for me.
