I thought I responded my apologies. I am very pleased with the care I have received. Hopefully after ultrasound on Thursday I can head back home “ Illinois” I know I won’t have answers yet since some test take longer to come back but this is a start and finally nice to have someone listen to me. Thank you, I will keep y'all updated.

@jlharsh my apologies I haven’t been on. Mayo has been amazing. I have wonderful Dr who keeps in contact with me. So much has happened.
I have lymphocytosis and thrombocytopenia . No diagnosis yet. I was supposed to have virtual visit in Dec with Mayo Dr but she called wanted to see me in MN end of Sept for PET/CT skull to mid thigh . but within two months my spleen has become enlarged . Volume went from 312 to 492 with increased pain along with left side of neck larger. I sent her pictures and now she wants me there next week for the scan. So many thoughts are running through my mind . I have had multiple test and viral, autoimmune, portal hypertension all ruled out. With this request from her I can only suspect she thinks Cancer.

Hi @kasey78 Your mind must be racing a million miles an hour right now with the new request from your doctor to see you sooner than planned. Thankfully you have a doctor who is concerned enough to make sure you’re getting the best care possible by having you in quickly for a re-evaluation. Sometimes diagnosis conditions involving our blood and lymph systems can take some puzzle piecing. So hopefully now be you’ll able to find an answer.

@loribmt thank you, yes I’m very thankful for Dr quick responses and concern. I do believe I will finally have answers and diagnosis, no matter what it is I’m grateful for that so then can focus on treatment and relieving pain.

kasey78, I’m glad you sent the pictures to your doctor and that she responded by moving things up. After so much testing and uncertainty, I can understand wanting an answer — whatever that answer turns out to be — so you and your care team can finally know what you’re dealing with and what comes next.

When you go to Mayo (MN), do you know if you’ll have an appointment with your doctor after the PET/CT to discuss the results? And most importantly, how are you doing with the pain while you wait?

@jlharsh thank you, yes Tuesday I have pet/ct and then bloodwork. Wednesday I return for appointment to discuss results. I’m resting and in long pjs, lol clothes are uncomfortable.
