We are so much more than our disease....
Hello ladies, and maybe a few gentlemen. The forum is quite, maybe because it is the weekend and we are doing fun things (hopefully). I would like to know what our members are doing outside of giving MAC our attention. I know this group is wise enough to know not to give your whole life over to MAC. So, what is everybody doing that does NOT include illness? (if you are having illness, that is ok to talk about also.)
As for me, I went to happy hour on Hilton Head Island with my hubby and our teacup poodle named Scarlett. We enjoyed a mini pizza and colossol shrimp and an adult beverage. Afterwards, we ran our little pupster across a big lawn on the Broad Bay River. There was a cooling breeze blowing and it was quite nice. The humidity finally broke and the air was breathable. Tomorrow, we will attend a birthday party for a new friend. What's up gang?

@Paula_MAC2007 - lovely to see you back,
@windwalker We own properties and rent them out. More and more people here cannot afford to buy a house as prices have risen substantially, so it is nice to provide housing to them.
@Paula_MAC2007 HI Paula! Good for you hitting the road. So glad that you are up for it. Congrats on finishing your chemo. I am from Virginia, where in Va are you going? Did you see the parade in D.C.?
@Paula_MAC2007 Hi Paula! Haven't heard from you in awhile, are you doing alright?
Hi. I have been hibernating indoors from the extreme South Carolina heat. I cannot breathe outside with the high humidity. So, to combat boredom; I hosted a painting party for some neighborhood children yesterday. I honestly didn't think I had the energy to pull it off, but once they arrived, I rose to the occassion. Their smiling faces were uplifting. Their mothers enjoyed a break to have time to themselves. The youngest one came knocking on my door after dinner asking if she could come in and paint some more. So cute. Here they are....
@windwalker Terri...what a special person you are....hosting the children for a painting party. Not wanting to be a wet blanket...don't you worry re catching some virus from the kids??? or am l too phobic?? @rdrell terrri
@windwalker....l recall the Concord....how awesome that you could go on it....l had put going on my bucket list...….and lo and behold....they retired the birds. Tell me again how long it took to get to Europe on it....was it from NYC or DC...to London or Paris??
where the seats squashed??? what sensation was there when taking off or flying??
Did go on the Chunnel in 2000 and was excited.....my grown daughter laughed at me being like a kid in a candy shop.@tdrell terri
Happy & eager students.
@tdrell Yes, I normally avoid children. These three girls have been home all summer and don't really interact with other children. So, I felt mostly safe among them. I did watch out for any signs of sniffles etc. Today I am in bed with bad stomach cramps, but I think it is coming from what I ate, or going back on tobramycin yesterday.
Terri, Was told to drink lots of Gatorade when sodium level down to 133? This by a doctor just a few minutes ago. Does this make sense. From what I read this isn't great
