We are so much more than our disease....
Hello ladies, and maybe a few gentlemen. The forum is quite, maybe because it is the weekend and we are doing fun things (hopefully). I would like to know what our members are doing outside of giving MAC our attention. I know this group is wise enough to know not to give your whole life over to MAC. So, what is everybody doing that does NOT include illness? (if you are having illness, that is ok to talk about also.)
As for me, I went to happy hour on Hilton Head Island with my hubby and our teacup poodle named Scarlett. We enjoyed a mini pizza and colossol shrimp and an adult beverage. Afterwards, we ran our little pupster across a big lawn on the Broad Bay River. There was a cooling breeze blowing and it was quite nice. The humidity finally broke and the air was breathable. Tomorrow, we will attend a birthday party for a new friend. What's up gang?

@colleenyoung We have no set plans for the weekend.
Things always happen spur of the moment around here. For example, we met a lovely couple last Monday while out to dinner and ended up as part of their wedding party 4 days later (today). We took them out for a late lunch and then we all hung out on the beach. It can be strange how life unfolds. We live in a resort town, so there is always something to do. How about you, what are you up to this weekend?
@windwalker yes we are way down the bottom of the map, beautiful place to live, if anyone wants a relaxing or full on holiday come to NZ! The land of flora and fauna, beaches, adventure sports and skiing, hiking, tramping, beautiful restaurants and vineyards, oh and of course sheep and cows. Such fun
Hellloooo. Cottage is ready..winterized so it's nice to be able to go anytime...nice to get out of Toronto...Muskoka is so beautiful✌️
@heathert, Ha! Sounds beautiful! I have seen pics of NZ. Now that I am feeling better, maybe I can travel out of the U.S. If I make it that far, I'll look you up!
@megan123, I am going to Google Muskoka and see what your area looks like and where that is.
@windwalker, great your feeling better, yip would love to see you, ill put on the jug, Maby when there are supersonic flights so you could get here alot quicker, haha
You are more than welcome...anytime
@heathert, Hey Heather. What kind of business do you have?
@heathert Right? They need to bring the Concord back. Don't know if you remember, but it was a super sonic jet. I rode one to Europe in the 1970,s. They were fast!!! They retired them because they were not fuel efficient. Bummer!
What's everyone got planned for Memorial Day weekend? I finished chemo last month and we are taking a long-postponed trip. We're visiting the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia for a week. I'm not strong enough to do much walking - and DC is a walking city -- but we've been here many times and so some places are easier for me to get to than others. Memorial Day is special in Washington DC.
