CBD for Pain Relief?
Has anyone tried using CBD for pain relief…whether it was eaten, smoked or used topically?

Yes, highly recommend. I live in FL and have my medical marijuana card. I found that micro dosing is the best for pain. It helps our sensitized brains to disassociate from the pain. My pain is under control between that and my Pilates/tai chi practice.

6 Reactions@duvaldena good to know! Do you microdose with cannabis or with CBD? I use cannabis at night but it doesn’t last throughout the night and I end up tossing and turning from aches after midnight.
I take a Snoozy "Sleep with benefit" gummy which has 10 THC, 10 CBD, and 10 CBN. It takes about a half hour to kick in and it eases my pain and usually puts me to sleep for 3-4 hours. When I wake up, I take a 10 mg trazodone to sleep the rest of the night. I also use a THC/CBD rub on my neck, upper, back and shoulders if they're especially bothering me.

4 ReactionsI haven't because a few people I know who tried CBD gummies, ended up with brutal panic attacks.

1 ReactionI use CBD/Thc topical cream. I can put it specific in an area and get relief for 2-3 hours. Then I reapply. Perfect before bed. I do read that you need both CBD/THC combo to better activate the CBD. Not one to one unless you want. Weed is legal in Oregon so I listen to the weed specialist. Unfortunately if I use THC, my pain gets worse. Weird body cuz we’re all different lol. 😂

5 Reactions@luvpets15 do you find the topical cream helps with the aches? I’m picking up some this afternoon that has THC/cbd/cbn in it and I’m hoping to find some relief for the daytime and evening.

1 Reaction@apagano7 I find it makes a huge difference in my pain. I was having trouble sleeping last night due to neck pain that seemed to come out of nowhere. I slathered my neck and shoulders with the THC/CBD/CBN and I drifted off within a half hour. I sure hope it helps you!

3 ReactionsWhat is THC/CBD/CBN ?
@chadsmom THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol. It is the main chemical compound in the cannabis plant that causes a "high" or mind-altering effect.
CBD stands for cannabidiol. It is a natural chemical found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, CBD does not make you high. People use it to try to feel less pain, stress, or worry.
Cannabinol (CBN) is a mild, non-intoxicating compound from the cannabis plant that forms when THC ages. People mostly use CBN as a sleep aid and sedative. Early studies also show it may help with pain relief, reducing inflammation, and boosting appetite.
I hope that helps!

Yes, I do get relief. I have Savella and gabapentin and LDN for daily pills. I use the topical when I’m having a bad case of pain. Especially my neck, shoulders and back. I can put it on about a half hour before bed and it helps me fall asleep. It’s just one of the many little things to have in your cabinet to help out. And I’m not sure if you got it already, but I get the. Ointment in a jar instead of the cream. The cream doesn’t seem to last as long. I just added it to my heat wraps, lidocaine patches, heating pad, and this cream to use as needed. We just have to keep a lot of tricks in our bag for different things that feel bad. Good luck.
