thanks to everyone,
Could me cancer (Eleagard / Lupron) treatment be causing my Neuropathy issues?
Hello @richiebarista, Welcome to Connect. To your first question I'm not a doctor but I don't think gabapentin can cause neuropathy but there is another discussion where members have discussed the question Can Gabapentin make neuropathy worse: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/can-gabapentin-make-neuropathy-pain-worse/.
If you are looking for studies and research type papers, Google Scholar is a good tool and lets you sort results by year. Here's a search using "can gabapentin cause neuropathy" with the most recent results shown - https://scholar.google.com/scholar.
You can tweak the search phrase and find something more specific if you want.

I do not know cause of your neuropathy being linked to gabapentin. However, some studies report that gabapentin is linked to dementia. Doctors offered it to me as per my pain with a shin shave biopsy and I said no thanks. My friend is taking gabapentin to deal with nerve pain caused by shingles virus and she said it makes her feel foggy and dizzy; yet, she feels she needs it to cope.
Yes, there are medications that many people with Peripheral Neuropathy use to help reduce the burning, numbness, tingling and “pins and needles” pain in their feet, and while no medication works perfectly for everyone, commonly prescribed treatments include nerve-pain medications such as Gabapentin, Pregabalin, or antidepressant-type medications like duloxetine that are also used for chronic nerve pain, while some people additionally get relief from topical creams such as lidocaine or capsaicin, better blood sugar control if diabetes is involved, supportive shoes, foot protection, and avoiding long periods on their feet, because burning neuropathy pain can become extremely limiting and exhausting over time, so it is definitely worth talking with your doctor or a neurologist about treatment options since many people do find at least partial relief once they find the right medication or combination of therapies.
I don’t have pain but very uncomfortable especially sitting and reading or watching TV. It’s not as bad in the morning but gets worse in the evening. I didn’t want to take prescription medication as I have gastrointestinal issues .
I bought a vibration plate that is heated ( but can be used without the heat ). I rest my feet on it watching TV or reading . The vibration is a distraction from the numbness and really helps me. It’s not a cure, just an aid in taking your mind off the uncomfortable feeling. On Amazon, there are many price ranges. I just bought a basic one to see if it helped. I’ve had it for several years and it has help so much, I’m thinking about getting a more expensive one, possibly with the infrared red lighting…..but of course, need to do some research. The reviews on Amazon are getting hard to trust because many people are given free merchandise for giving reviews.
Another thing I do is lay flat on my bed and raise my legs above my head , resting against the headboard, for about 10 to 20 minutes, (read book, IPad etc. to keep my mind busy ) it gets the blood flowing reverse .
I try to stay busy walking and standing as much as I can during the day and in the evening I sit the timer on my phone every 30 minutes to get up and walk around . It’s a full time job , but I still enjoy life to much to give up.

Neuropathy in my feet seems to be triggered exclusively by alcohol, whether red or white wine does not seem to matter. Abstinence is my only solution. Sigh.
Does anyone know anything about the Multiwave Laser treament (MLS). Sounds way too good to be true unfor.
@highdesertdweller there is an older discussion on laser therapy if you want to scan through it.
