Elevated Vitamin B12 levels w/out supplements

Posted by lisakaypowers @lisakaypowers, 5 days ago

Hello
Does anyone else have chronic elevated Vit B12 levels?
I don't take Vit B supplements, my other blood levels don't indicate any liver or kidney function problems. I have read that this can be a result of chronic autoimmune conditions but none of my drs have stated this.
I am just curious if any others out there with auto immune conditions experience this?
Thanks for any input.

I too have had elevated B12 levels without supplementation. I have been >2000 for almost 6 months with no explanation. As strange as it seems, my doctor has told me to stop all supplements (even multivitamins containing minute amounts), and we will retest in 6 months before we dig any further searching for a cause.

@azgeorgie thanks.
It will be interesting to see where your levels are later.

Have you been diagnosed with autoimmune or have any genetic disorders? Do you have fibromyalgia or Me/CFS or have had hx of ?

@lisakaypowers I have a history of CFS & Fibromyalgia but I was later diagnosed with hEDS, POTS and other Dysautonomias so I dont believe these were correct. I did have Ebstein Barr shortly before that so I believe that triggered an immune response in my body as things went downhill from there.
I am anxious to see what my levels will be when tested next time too. I will update.
