@mysporby1940 What Is your diet like? Maybe that could help. Mediterranean is the best, but not for everyone. Eliminate sugar, carbs, highly processed foods entirely. This will rid your body of inflammation from what you consume. If your already doing that congrats. I always start with diet changes. Then I do PT, swim (excellent), and relax with heat or ice. Walking is very good as well. I have a bad spine so these are the things I do. I also have a bad heart I'm trying everything I can not to go on pharmaceuticals. Curcumin is great for heart Inflammation. There's also CoQ10 supplement. Third party tested of course for heart. There are a lot of supplements for joint health, heart, muscle and brain health.

Hi, I developed SI joint pain about a month ago. I have been receiving physio therapy and acupuncture and have been doing exercises proscribed by my physio therapist.
I have received advice from every second person I meet on which osteopath/physio/chiropractor I should go to but have decided to stick with the people I'm seeing for a while yet.
I have a particular question regarding the exercises. I found, today, after doing the exercises, that my leg is particularly sore when I sit. Does anyone have advice regarding this issue?

@dstapay Hi Deni, sorry to hear about your issues.I fell like I should not complain hearing what you are having to deal with.
I have been getting acupuncture but I've not seen any progress with it. I'm about to start with a chiropractor, who , apparently, has studied this particular condition and does not use the traditional chiropractic techniques. Will report back.
What sort of treatments have you been getting?

@mysporby1940 There are conservative measures... drugs, PT, exercise, etc. If those fail to help, the are more invasive measures... spinal cord stimulator, pain pump, and others. I have tried them all. Only the spinal cord stimulator helped, a lot.

@hjcram I have done Botox for migraines, currently taking a break from it to see if there’s a difference. So far I haven’t noticed any worsening of headaches. I also do Aimovig.

Chronic pain is basically treated with Vicoprofen. After 10 years it obviously doesn’t work as well as it did, still provides some relief.

Good morning. I'm 65. Postpartum depression at age 31 with loss of thyroid function
Lumbar stenosis with fusion L4L5S1S2 in 2016. Have been on Cymbalta 90mg per day for 25 years. During a medication change 2+ years ago experienced extreme anxiety and developed excruciating head neck and shoulder pain - no treatment helping past 1 or2 days. Finally saw my old pain clinic Dr who called me "a high functioning Fibromyalgia sufferer" in too good shape to be a pain clinic patient. Suggestions - aerobics 3x a week. Thanks
LDN - almost ready to begin 2nd month doubling of dose.
Went back to acupuncture after 15 years. 1st visit minimal relief. Last visit after a very painful needling and tearing of my scalp fascia and and brutal manual fascial release, I am 50% better still 4 days later. This is a minor breakthrough.I have been ignoring pain since at least 2008 so am still fully mobile. Tried Gabapentin 3600mg / day years ago. No relief no side effects. No medication helps the pain in any way so don't take analgesic.
Thank God for heat and cannibis. Judy 18

Hi. My name is James and I have been dealing with chronic lower back, hip, gluteal and leg pain for the las year and a half. After an MRI i was diagnosed with a pinched nerve at L4-5. My primary care provider sent me to physical therapy and I went for 21 sessions. The pain was much less immediately after each session but came back in a few hours. Then I was sent to a pain doctor who gave me lumbar steroid injections over the course of one year. The first three injections relieved the pain but each one only lasted a couple of months. I also had a radio frequency ablation done to relieve the arthritic pain in my lower back. It also lasted a couple of months. Finally, I went to a neurosurgeon who suggested MITR procedure to correct the stenosis that was causing the nerve to be pinched. I had this procedure done on July 8, 2026 and a lot of the pain is gone, however I am now having moderate pain in my left hip joint. I have a 40 cm stainless steel rod in my left femur from an automobile accident in 1969 and I was wondering if that could be causing my hip pain. An MRI of my left showed the following:
FINDINGS:
Marrow signal is unremarkable and without abnormal marrow replacement. Femoral
ORIF incompletely evaluated without complication. No fracture.
Moderate chondral thinning superior hip. Degenerative tearing superior labrum.
No joint effusion.
The distal gluteal, proximal hamstring and proximal adductor tendons are
normal with the exception of mild tendinosis.
No bursitis.
IMPRESSION:
Moderate degenerative changes of the left hip joint.
