Hi all, im new to the group. Was diagnosed with both lichen planopilaris as well as Alopecia caused by genetics. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism approx 34 years ago. I started noticing that my part was getting wider while the crown of my head seemed to be loosing hair too…I’ve been under a dermatologist’s care for almost a year now. Why i didn’t do something sooner I don't know. I was very happy to find this discussion for support.

@sallydog001 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! And it’s better late than never! Is your dermatologist treating you for planopilaris? Did they diagnose you? Here is some information
From Mayo Clinic about the scalp condition.
