I am having a VERY difficult time with Klonipin withdrawal
I have been on Klonipin for a BIG Panic disorder for over 15 years. I recently had to wean down off of 3 to none fast. The withdrawal was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I have my normal prescription now. However, at a lower level. But, I am still having a withdrawal symptom that is plaguing me. I am still taking it, but half of what I had been. I hear my Heart thumping in my ears, very loud and fast, 120 beats per minute. Did anyone else have that symptom? Or describe their withdrawal? Oh, and I NEVER want to speak to that new and cold Psychiatrist I have.
Struggling. Thanks.

titrate 1/4 of a pill every 4 weeks and ask also for an anti anziety drug to take as well. It takes a long time but go slowly.

I have been on a lower dose of Klonopin for 18 years and I am finding it difficult to taper at a much lower dose. Your best bet is to find a doctor/practitioner who uses the Ashton method of Tapering. Most MD's just prescribe Klonopin being ignorant of correct tapering and the risk of seizures is significant as well as intense rebound anxiety. I am your age and have been struggling with tapering safely for years. Find a doctor/practioner who knows the Ashton method of Tapering..it is slow but safe. You can Google it. God bless and keep strong.
@et3804 I’m still tapering off it. It may be easier now for me that I’m on three anti-convulsants
@raphaela2025 I'm glad you're doing well.
I'm not. MDD is a tough road to haul.

1 Reaction@et3804 I see you responded but I can't see your message. Its briacris.
@briacirs Hi I sent a hug. Most MD's are clueless about the right taper. Please have your MD look at the Ashton Manual taper.
