I have breast cancer metastasis to the peritoneal lining. Diagnosed February, 2026.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@brendaae My husband's cousin has peritoneal cancer also. It metastasized from the arm of a robot that was used to remove her stage 1 endometrial cancer. She has been treated with hormone therapy (femara and letrazole?, I believe). The nine lesions are no longer visible on a CT scan. I believe this was an experimental protocol developed and written about by MD Anderson in Houston. I think the physician's name is Soliman? This cousin is very pleased.

@brendaae I never heard that she did. However, her peritoneal lining seems to be very weak and she has had multiple hernias with the bowel breaking through to the skin and with the one, it has breached the skin. This has set up a skin infection that requires daily treatment. A nurse comes to the home a couple of times a week.
All of this from a stage 1 endometrial cancer. It has truly been a nightmare but she handles it well.

Thank you, for your thorough and fast response! I am so sorry this is happening. Please tell her to be strong and believe she will get better. I need to get fluid drained from my peritoneal lining every ten days - sometimes, five liters, which is a lot of fluid. Anyway, I appreciate your sharing and if you have any other information in the future, please share and I will do the same. Brenda

@gmapri im the same. No more surgery after debulking no immunotherapy and no radiation. Keeping me on chemotherapy until it no longer is effective.
Im living each day and appreciating every second. Hope you are too

@nanoya80 just found out the chemo is not working, so I am off all treatment. Waiting for a consult to see if Duke will take me on for the new oral drug. Not in any pain, so I am doing the same and enjoying each day!

@gmapri You’re attitude is inspirational. I’m hoping that Duke will take you on. Is this a clinical trial you are waiting to hear about?

It's just finished the 3rd phase of trials so is waiting full FDA approval. Duke has a special authorization to take on patients who have run out of chemo options & have a RAS mutation. I have a K-RAS mutation so waiting for a consultation with Duke to try & get into this program.
