Has anyone taken ciprofloxacin? Any side effects? I am taking sinemet.

Has anyone taken ciprofloxacin while taking sinemet? I am a first time poster. I am a 76 year old woman, diagnosed with Parkinson's five years ago. Currently have uti.

Wondering if your doctor mentioned anything about this combination, or if not, if you might contact his or her office to ask? The pharmacist who dispenses your medications also likely could help with an answer about combining these medications.

Have you already taken your ciprofloxacin? If so, how's it going?

@lisalucier I have completed my dose of ciprofloxacin. I had no problem. Thank you for replying.

I have had it a couple of times over the years and it has done a number on my tendons. Many people don't have this issue, but I already had tendinopathy and this seemed to make my tendons more painful. It does have a red box warning about Achilles tendon rupture. It is a powerful antibiotic though and helpful.
