Yes, I suffer with this problem too. The formal name is Sialorrhea - caused by one or more causes including decreased swallowing and/or over production of saliva. Glands that produce saliva can also change the consistency of saliva. I've come close to embarrassing myself when talking and a drool of saliva spills out - thankfully unnoticed by others to date - I think. Brushing my teeth and spitting leads to long, stringy, thick saliva strands that I have to manually remove - very unattractive, but I brush my teeth in private. I occasionally drool while sleeping too. Good Grief!! There are meds to help control overproduction, but they dry out your eyes as well as your mouth and I already have moderately severe dry eyes. I try to remember to swallow frequently and avoid any pooling of saliva in my mouth. Parkinson's is just full of surprises - not the kind you want though.
