Anyone used Reflux Raft?

Posted by sylvermoon8 @sylvermoon8, May 21 11:52am

I was wondering if anyone has tried Reflux Raft and if it helped them. Also if anyone has tried both Reflux Raft and Gaviscon Advance? And compare them? Are there problems getting Gaviscon Advance?
Thank you for any advice.

@t98 where do you buy Gaviscon Advance? If on Amazon can you share what vendor you use? Do you have problems getting it. I’ve been using Reflux Raft and it’s helped but not completely it seems to wear off around 4:00 a.m.

@sylvermoon8 I live overseas where they sell the Gaviscon that has alginate under the name Gaviscon, so I don't know where to get Gaviscon Advance.
This Gaviscon also wears off, so if I wake up with reflux I take a half a Tums or more Gaviscon. Or, instead take famotidine 20 mg at bedtime, which usually lasts the night.
Best to watch diet, finish eating early, sleep on wedge or top of bed raised.

@t98 I understand, thank you. I do all the things you suggested except I have not made many changes to my diet, thats hard when my husband likes tasty food. The diet eliminates so many things…onions and garlic the big 2 imo

I was also wanting to know if anyone was using Raft Reflux. It says it can help with Globus Sensation. I have a GI condition (esophageal hypersensitivity w/Functional heartburn) that mimic symptoms of acid reflux besides other symptoms and I was wondering if Raft would work for my throat issues.

@jennypj6875
Hello, I’ve had Barrett’s for 8 yrs and within the past 4 yrs, developed several serious ulcers In My esophageal tract. To improve them doc has me on 40 mg omeprazole 2xs a day. Making me more ill, and not helping. Within the past month thru my own research on NIH website. I discovered Reflux Raft. Reasonably priced, I use one
(lemon-ginger) during the daytime after a meal, and nightime one b4 bed. 3 weeks in and no Gerd or burning in my throat. No side effects so far!
Hope this helps..
Blessings,
Diane, Texas

I use Reflux Raft and it’s excellent. However, I urge you to make dietary changes too. That is really what makes the difference.

@lgell yes I know. There’s so much I would have to cut out. It’s so difficult we are foodies and it’s one thing to change my diet but it’s hard on my husband. I’m to the point where I want to cook less not double…. Reflux Raft worked great for me for a few weeks now it’s not as good. I am scared to death of my esophageal manometry test coming up…not as concerned about the impededence test.
