ELEVATED IGE AND FATIGUE

Posted by cdeldeo @cdeldeo, 2 days ago

At age 80 I am very tired all the time even though I sleep 12 hrs plus take afternoon nap. I am not depressed. My IgE-E is 90000 and has been for over 10 yrs. Could this be the cause?

cdeldeo, elevated IGE-E causes fatigue, but it is important to understand what is causing the high IGE. You might ask for a specific IGE.
Any chance you could have parasites?
I would see an immunologist right away, even though it has been ten years.
I'm glad you aren't depressed.
Are you having any good dreams.

High IgE-E generally isn't a direct cause of fatigue. An allergy or immune disorder is probably causing the abnormally high readings. How's your thyroid? You need a complete blood work up.
