Diagnosed with vertebrogenic pain?

Has anyone here been diagnosed with vertebrogenic pain? If so what was done for it? Was it treatable for you if you have any kind of hardware present from previous spinal procedures?

""Vertebrogenic pain is a type of chronic lower back pain originating from damaged, inflamed vertebral endplates. It is caused by the irritation of the basivertebral nerve, which transmits pain signals deep into the spine. It accounts for a significant portion of long-term back pain that is notoriously resistant to conservative therapies.

Vertebrogenic low back pain can be a disability, especially in the advanced stages. With VLBP, you may experience pain when you're physically active, bend forward, or sit for extended periods. You may also get referred pain, which is pain in a different area of the body from where the pain originates.""

If you had VLBP and referred pain, what was the nature of the referred pain?

Hi, @bajjerfan - you mentioned having referred pain from vertebrogenic low back pain (VLBP). Will you share more about what type of referred pain you are experiencing: Where it's located? How intense? How often you feel this pain?

I have bursitis in my right hip hip and identical burning inflammation type pain at the top of my pelvic bone a few inches to the right of my spine. I was wondering if THAT was referred pain, but now I don't think so. Also I don't believe that I have vertebrogenic pain either as the MRI dignostics don't seem to be there. Going back to 6 or 7 years of MRIs the modic changes that would be indicative of vertbrogeninic pain have never been mentioned by any radiologist as far as I can tell.

The synopsis I read didn't indicate what or where the referred pain would or could be.

My next stop is to consult an orthopedic surgeon after talking with my PCP.

Research the BVN aka intracept procedure. For example the Google machine says this: “ The BVN procedure is specifically designed for patients with vertebrogenic pain. You may be a candidate if you meet the following criteria:”

@bajjerfan the procedure I posted about isn’t done everywhere but Mayo in Rochester does. I had it done with good results
