@betsywriter49, didn't do the antibiotics, though know someone that worked well for after a second course. Just doing the low fodmap diet, plus Miralax and Metamucil to stay regular, and simethecone as needed for residual stomach gas.

Hi,
I ended up taking two courses of medicine to ensure we got it all. From memory it wasn't until close to the end of the first course that it looked positive. Yes, it did feel worse initially. I had to trust in the process. Had it failed then it was a vastly more expensive course of medicine and pre prepared dietary food. Indeed, I blamed the massive dose of antibiotics but that proved incorrect.
