I had Gamma knife 29 years ago. They said my meningioma was in area that didn’t need to be operated around. It has not grown. I definitely recommend a second opinion and getting the gamma knife.

@colleeSad, in my front lobe just above my nose, they will not radiate surgery is the only way where it is near both optic nerves, set for July 22, going in above my left eye on forehead. He thinks he will get it all. Tufts Medial enter Doctor Heilman MD I feel horrible about this, if it grows more i will lose my site.

It’s good that you have a chance to eliminate the entire meningioma. I’m sorry that you have to have surgery to achieve that. Please keep us updated.

@bob5555 Mine was “golf ball sized” according to neurosurgeon. He said it may have been growing for 20 years, which is somewhat common for middle-aged and elder women. Benign, thank heavens. All the things they never tell you about growing old!
