@zeke2u I think we’re all in agreement Metoprolol is being well over prescribed. I will discuss this with my cardiologist next month.
my wife is on metoprolol, and as she puts it, she has very little stamina, such that she is exhausted after doing laundry or going outside for a short period of time for a little bit of gardening. I am not sure of her dosage, but I do believe that it’s under 100 mg. It was prescribed by a heart doctor at Mayo and she had a pulse field ablation , but after reading the string, it makes me think that maybe there are other choices that might impact her stamina.

3 Reactions@zeke2u I think it is used successfully for a variety of conditions, but can be adjusted (dosage) until it works for the individual. Definitely discuss with cardiologist.
@bens1
I am in my Mid 70"s and I was on 50mg of Metroprolol, was very exhausted. Then my doctor switched me to 25 mg and that help with exhaustion but still felt like I was limited to daily activities. I finally had the doctor switch me to Bystolic/ generic is nebivolol(Medicare covers my generic mail order for $2.00/90days vrs Walmart cost was $ 75.28/90days). I have been on that for couple of weeks which made a difference. Now everyones body is different, what works for me might not work for anybody else. I take metro for blood pressure.
