Aches and Exhaustion
The achiness I feel reminds me of when I've had the flu. My friend has Fibro and she said that's exactly what she feels like. Some days I wake up achy and exhausted. Other days like Wednesday and today Friday July 10th 2026, I started out feeling well but once I went out to do things it changed. Wednesday i went and did Door Dash for an hour and a half, i stopped cause i was getting a migraine. But after about an hour of being home, I felt like crap. I was achy exhausted and somehow have good sized blister on the bottom of my heel. I also found out by googling that taking too high a dose of Tylenol raises blood pressure. So the one pain reliever that was helping take the edge off, raises my BP. I decided to take a mental health day yesterday, I'm in an alumni program from and IOP, and I cancelled my going to my afternoon session. Today I felt fine, went to Dollar Tree and Publix for maybe 30 minutes total, and ever since I feel like I have the flu. Aches and exhausted. Does anyone else experience this or something similar with Fibro?

Yes, yes, and yes.
Don't rely on Dr. Google for decisions about your pain relief. Talk to your doctor about your blood pressure if you have concerns. I have been told by multiple doctors that a OTC drug combo of Tylenol and Aleve is about the same pain relief as an opiate without the addiction problems. You "layer" them - ex., take one at 6 AM and the other at 12 - for extreme pain. This is the combo I use when the pain is particularly bad, and I have been using Aleve on a daily basis with generally good results.
As for your level of activity, it sounds like you may be in the middle of a flare. I can wake up feeling fine, but if I push myself just a little during a flare, I am down for the count. I would focus on rest and good food to improve your energy, but SEE YOUR DOCTOR about your pain relief concerns! And then learn to recognize the symptoms of a flare - the widespread pain and exhaustion - so you know to slow down and rest when one hits. Be aware that pushing yourself on a "good day" can result in a bad day - and that's on a regular basis; you'll have to rethink your activity level if you have recurrent flares. And oh yeah - avoid stress. If possible. Or get rid of stressors by cutting them out of your life.
Good luck - I have been where you are. Hugs.

I see my primary on Tuesday afternoon. I do have to be careful with meds because i am on 2 meds for controlling my blood pressure. And I've ended up in the ER 3 times, prior to even thinking it's Fibro for high BP or pulse rate. Anything like Motrin and Aleve will cause a bad upset stomach even with the meds I'm on for IBS-D.
@kjs831 I'm sorry to hear that. Good luck with your Dr. on Tuesday.
@winniemercedes Avoid stress…I wish! Politics makes me want to move! I’m having lots of tight muscles lately that keep me from getting out. Rest, muscle relaxers (I take half, they leave me groggy), Tylenol. Repeat.
Google/Scholar Is a great place to look for information. More technical, no junk ads
If you have fibromyalgia, you have to listen to your body.
When it says I’m tired, you rest
When it says I’m OK then do a few things but always keep an eye on your body
Do not stress out learn how to do tai chi or something like it, which is slow movement. I lay on my bed, rotate my knees, lift my legs up, move my ankles, and I feel a lot better when I do that and I try to do it every day, but sometimes I can’t
It could also be allergies. Have you done a lot of allergy testing for trees, ragweeds pollen from flowers, grasses, and So on
Also look around you do you have trouble breathing when there are perfumes around some of these perfumes are very hard for people with difficulties breathing.
I wish you the very best. Keep a diary on how you are doing take it with you when you go to the doctor. Write your questions down before you get there so you don’t forget
I put mine on my phone
Take care
