AeroEclipse XL

I forgot to put the cup in breath actuated mode when soaking.
Does anyone else have Ombra?
I don't really like it and should have done more research before ordering.
I prefer the one that I picked up at medical supply store.
This Ombra is so noisy and has ended up on the floor a couple times.
Have to keep readjusting on table because of all vibration.
Has anyone else forgot to turn to breath actuated mode when soaking?
I don't like the short mouthpiece.
Doesn't make sense.
I'm ready to just drop off at Goodwill.

I know aerobika shouldn't touch bottom of saucepan, but what about sides.
So disappointed to learn that my hydrogen peroxide soak was useless for ntm.
I think I've been doing for a year.

I put mine in a metal steamer basket that sits in the saucepan fully covered in the water.

I tried boiling and melted everything. How do you boil without melting???

There are nebulizer cups which are meant to be boiled and those that can not. Try checking the info from the manufacture that comes with your equipment to see if they give instructions for disinfecting as well as just initial cleaning after use.

The Aerobika melted?
I was wondering about that happening.
Do we put Aerobika in before the water boils or after the water boils.
I don't sterilize my nebulizer cups.
Soak them in hot soapy water then in vinegar every couple weeks.

I am mistaken. I did not boil the aerobika and I did not use the aeroclipse. Thank you for your answer. It is very helpful!

Sue,

Do you nebulize once or twice per day? Initially, I boiled and let all my neb parts air dry when I was nebulizing once per day. Now that I have to neb twice per day, I want to ensure all the parts are completely dry. I use a baby sterilizer and put on dry an extra time to ensure all my equipment is dry before my second treatment. I do agree that too many pieces of equipment are more items sitting on my counter, but I have this fear of all the parts not being dry. When you travel, how do you handle just boiling? And, do you sterilize every day, or do you do enough cups for 2 or 3 days? When I nebulized once per day, I sterilized every day because it was easier to keep up with the age of the cups. Now that I nebulize twice per day, I find sterilizing every day is just too much.

Do you use distilled water or tap water when you boil?

Thank you.

@ccdb I no longer need to neb daily, now it is 2-3 times weekly. But even when I was nebbing 2-3 times a day, I did not boil after each use - had multiple neb cups and did it each morning. (Washed & rinsed promptly after each use, but boiled once a day.)
If you take the parts out of still hot water and place on a clean towel, they air dry very quickly, no machines needed, but I only worry about the parts being completely dry if they are being stored. I'm not sure why they would need to be dry before reuse?
I always boil in distilled water, but reuse it 3-4 times (just leave the saucepan, covered, on the back of the stove and top off as needed.)
